A music festival does not, on the surface, sound like a family event, but the Pigeon Lake Music Festival is just that. Young, old, and every age in between can be found in front of the live stage for the three days of the Festival, where the music ranges across genres from crooning country to rock-it-out metal.
The Festival has been described as having, “excellent organization, with free parking, golf cart shuttles to the main arena, food and merchandise areas, and very friendly and helpful staff.”*
And if sprawling on the grass or a fold-up chair doesn’t appeal to you, you can use a VIP Tent, with luxurious (by comparison) outdoor lounges, a drinks waiter and private washrooms, plus an excellent view of the stage.
Camping is available for the three days of the festival, plus there are stalls selling artisan goods, food and drinks. Pigeon Lake is a stone’s throw away, and while the swimming might be somewhat disappointing, the fishing is not.
If you have not yet firmed up your summer adventures, consider adding this one to the list. It is a change of pace from the usual family affairs.
